Privacy Policy
Nornic is the personal archive of Edward Salvatierra Pino. This policy explains what little data the site collects, why, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
Email address, if you subscribe or sign in. You can sign in with a one-time email link or a password you choose; passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text.
Account details you choose to add: a display name and, optionally, a profile photo.
Comments you post on the docs, shown publicly with your display name.
Private notes and bookmarks you save while reading — visible only to you.
Basic, aggregate usage signals (for example, anonymous chapter "claps" and helpful votes). These are counts, not profiles.
Aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics via Google Analytics, plus Google Search Console for search performance. These are aggregate measurements, not advertising profiles, and analytics cookies load only if you accept them.
Why we use it
To sign you in and keep you signed in, to send the chapters and updates you asked for, to show your comments, to understand which writing is useful, and to measure traffic in aggregate. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising. Analytics runs only after you accept cookies.
Who processes it
Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), and Google (Analytics and Search Console, for aggregate traffic and search insights). Each processes data only to provide the service, under their own security commitments.
Retention
We keep your data while your account or subscription is active. Ask us to delete it and we will remove your account, comments, and email from our lists.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and unsubscribe at any time. Email journey@nornic.me and we will respond promptly.
